If you’ve talked with me recently, you probably heard that I’m starting to work on a music video for one of our Purdue students and the band ‘A Taste For Two’ (link to Facebook page). They just recorded two of their tracks, which you can hear and download already. We’re doing the video for “Eulogy”, and last Thursday night I make the trek up to ’The Region’ to meet the guys and scope out the venue.
The carpet was recovering from a flood, a huge bat flew around when we walked in, there were dead birds everywhere, and it was super sweatin-to-the-oldies HOT without the AC on. But we did play with the lights, and a smoke machine. The guys had just seen The Last Airbender… so use your imagination. Anyway, the plan is to do the ‘band shots’ for the video here, in Black and White, with some dramatic/contrasty theater and stage lighting. The side story scenes will be on location with Josh and a yet-undiscovered cute girl.
We’re a few more sweaty days of shooting (and a month or two of scheduling and editing) away from the final piece, but I wanted to post these from the other night:
