Here is a sample of the photos I made on the runway this year. The flash I bounced off the ceiling/post just a few feet away made some really nice light for a runway with moving models! The caveat was that if there was any single-file tailgating going on, it was really hard and sometimes impossible to get those models photographed — but overall I was giddy about the light, the depth of field, and of course the awesome designs we saw that day :)
A neat little detail is how the scene and background has this black-and-gold feel to it (Purdue colors)…
