awesome wedding albums = awesome wedding gifts

Lots of changes this year *whew* New site, new equipment, new album options… and something else I’m excited about trying: ChipIn. A little background:

Often times a really nice, custom, leather album is really hard to budget for up-front…especially when the economy tanks. Until now, the main two options have been credit cards or buying them many months after the wedding. One of my grooms in 2009 recieved a custom, framed ‘gift certificate’ towards their album, courtesy of his parents. What a great gift idea :)

ChipIn is a tool to collect donations. Wouldn’t it be great if your family, friends, or guests, had the option of giving towards a really nice album? They could even chip in a small amount, but still get you that luggage set that you registered for ;) Aunt Susie could chip in but still crochet those oven mitts. Or your friend from the west coast could give towards your album if they couldn’t attend.

It’s super easy and secure through Paypal.  Everything would be set up by me, with no work or soliciting by you. The bride and groom receive a detailed donor list so they have what they need for those thank-you cards. Friends and family can give through a custom webpage or a widget that you can embed the widget online anywhere you like. Like here:

/That’s just a sample — please do not donate there/

Of course we can use this towards other photographic goodies besides albums: a print package, a few big juicy gallery wraps or canvas prints, parent books, custom cards, etc.

See this page for more info on the albums. Contact me if you have any questions or comments about this new opportunity!  I’ll post more later this year and let you know how it goes.

Lisa Newman - Brian,

I think this ChipIn idea is great! Really, what a great wedding present. These albums and prints are the things we really will keep for a lifetime!

Lisa
