custom albums and books

I design custom books and albums through KISS and Forbeyon.  View the slideshow for a quick overview of these, and then read below for details.

I’ve waded through the dozens of vendors out there and stick with these 2 companies.

Leather lay-flat albums from KISS

  • Non-customizeable leather covers, full grain in 7 colors
  • Actual RA-4 photographic prints (on Fujicolor Crystal Archive paper)
  • Thick and sturdy pages that make lay-flat spreads.
  • No gutter in middle, spreads are actually not cut but micro-folded
  • More durable than press-printed coffeetable books
  • KISS padded leather covers have a softer, thicker feel than Forbeyon.
  • View photos of an awesome Passion Pink sample on my blog post!
  • (KISS also offers a linen cover option: thinner pages but still rigid photographic prints – not as thin as coffeetable book pages)  (Kiss also offers cute little 4″ leather brag books)

Leather flush-mount albums from Forbeyon

  • Entirely handmade in Dallas, TX
  • More personalized and customizable to your tastes
  • All of the features of lay-flat photo mounted spreads
  • Real UV-coated photographic prints, luster or metallic finish (on Kodak Archival paper)
  • More selection of fine Italian leathers/grains (and interesting non-leather textures)
  • Options for cameo photo inserts on cover;  imprinting options also
  • More fashionable slip cover options
  • Forbeyon leather covers are harder than KISS covers.

View three of my sample layouts online…

They range in size from 4×4″ up to 12×12″.  All spreads from KISS and Forbeyon are high quality, UV protected, photographic prints (not press-printed). Printed on archival paper (either Fujicolor Crystal Archive or Kodak Archival, depending on the company) by industry-leading printers, all of these books rock and have that wow! factor.  When we meet in person to discuss your wedding, you’ll get to hold them  :)

Not sure you can afford a swank leather wedding album?  Here are 3 other options:  credit card, ordering the book months after your wedding, or  -my personal favorite- letting me set up a photography gift registry for your friends and family.  Guests can then give gifts like nice canvas prints, album credit, or anything else you want.
